Frequently Asked Questions
Introduction
Bhagavad Gita is a manual for life narrated by Sage Veda Vyasa and scribed by Lord Ganesh. It consists of 700 verses throughout 18 Chapters (Adhyayams). Our daily Bhagavad Gita class emphasizes and details the meanings and explanations of all verses (shlokas). Along with the meanings, students are also given important examples and stories that correlate with the Bhagavad Gita verse. Most importantly, students are taught to apply the teachings of Bhagavad Gita into their daily lives which will help the students maintain peace within their surroundings, and have the knowledge to develop a personal connection with Bhagavan. As Gita, the song of Bhagavan, is the manual for life, it answers questions and confusions we have daily such as
- Am I Happy?
- I did not win the competition, what should I do?
- I don’t have enough time.
- Should I take this decision?
- There is so much school work.
- I am under peer pressure, what should I do?
We urge you to join the Bhagavad Gita along with 500 other students, and to notice the positive transformation Bhagavad Gita will do to your daily life and activities.

What is the class structure?
For the first 10 minutes of class, we synchronously chant the Dhyana Slokas composed by Madhusudana Sarasvati centuries ago. And on weekdays, we learn the new Bhagavad Gita verse with primary focus on the meaning of the verse given with important examples, stories, or videos. Then, we disperse into breakout rooms with volunteers and recite the shloka individually with personal attention given to each individual attendee. And on weekends, we revise shlokas from previous Adhyayams with primary focus on the meanings, then we disperse into breakout rooms. Additionally, interactive fun games such as Kahoot are also conducted each week to engage the little students while focusing on Bhagavad Gita meanings.
